September 11th, 2001 changed America forever,
The bloodiest, most tragic event ever.
When ordinary people became heroes,
Three attacks, one crash, buildings at ground zero.
Those who faced tragic loss understand,
How much it costs for our free land.
We should spend each day to remember the brave who march for all,
They are completely committed to meet each call.
God help each passengers’ family as they face each day,
Our prayers could send love their way.
Emotions do make us what we are,
September eleventh, you’re never too far.

9/11, the worst attack in America’s past,
It’s sad we couldn’t make the World Trade Center towers last.
Two-thousand nine hundred and seventy seven were dead,
So many people that night could not get to their own bed.
One hundred and twenty-five souls in the Pentagon have died,
Just from this one moment so many good families cried.
A terrorist plan had struck this strong, great and noble land,
People were scared; we had been attacked by another’s hand.
Sadness and great shock spread throughout the world through all the news,
After, America knew we would fight and never lose.
People drew together to find strength, courage, and power.
We vowed to never let terrorists make us cower,
Symbolizing this, we built the New York Freedom Tower.

On September 11th many screamed and cried,
One man was responsible for those who died.
Two jets had been soaring through the sky,
Floan by men, who wished for many to die.
The Trade Center collapsed to the ground,
And on that horrible day many bodies were found.
Many citizens died at ground zero,
Others fell while becoming a hero.
Firefighters, and men on the police force,
Gave their lives, and stayed the heroic course.
The west pentagon was brutally sacked,
President bush announced "we're being attacked."
United 93 passengers staged a prevention,
Of the terrorists hijackers previous intention.
Though Osama bin laden tried to hide,
Seal team six had made sure that man died.
Ever since his death on paper had been released,
The American people may finally be at peace.

In the September eleventh two-thousand one, terrorist attack,
The pedestrians of New York were going crazy, it was wack!
Employees trapped in the World Trade center towers screamed and cried,
That day, two-thousand six hundred and six innocent people died.
Many died trying to save lives and many became a hero,
The world trade center was once up high and now at ground zero.
Bin Laden’s men hijacked four planes, one crashed over a mile from a farm,
Flight seventy-seven crashed right into the Pentagon causing alarm.
Two planes were flown right into the WTC North and South tower,
If you stopped and watched what people were doing, firemen started to scour.
We honor and remember the heroes and the people that saved,
Rest in peace to the innocent Americans, for at the memorial they are engraved.

A peaceful cloudless day in September soon turned to be greatly horrible.
Three planes hit major U.S. landmarks and another in a field, it was unbearable.
As the whole world starts to panic even more black dust and rubble begins to fall.
When they hit and the towers fell to street level, froze and came to a stall.
This time, all though very tragic, brought out the hero in many.
Through all of the saviors and heroes there were deaths of plenty.
Hundreds, nearly thousands, of cherished and loved service members.
Fell into the endlessly shadowed ashes and up into embers.
Through all of the years of fighting, negotiating and being depressed.
All the people that willingly perished for our country, we must be blessed.
A man who America has a deep hatred for, A satanist spawn.
He killed thousands in one day, now Osama is dead and gone.

9/11 the day the twin towers dropped,
There's nothing like it, the whole world stopped.
The towers were gone and people were down,
The wreckage of new York covered the ground.
The day grown men's hearts were filled with fear,
And for many people that day, the end was near.
Firefighters and police men gave it all,
Trying to get people out before the towers fall.
We can't change what happened, its in God's hands,
We just made sure Osama never stands.
That cruel man was evil in everyway,
Thank God he'll never see another day.

FROM TERROR TO TRIUMPH
By Shem McCullough
September 11,2014
September 11, 2001 would prove to be a grim day,
Terrorists hijacked four commercial planes and many would dearly pay.
American Airlines flights 11 and 175,
A few called their families, but all would be killed, not one left alive.
They crashed into the 110 story North and South World Trade Center tower,
Screams of horror rang, smoke billowed, flames erupted, and both collapsed with such power.
At ground zero, two thousand, six hundred six innocent lives would find their grave,
Debris from the World Trade Center flowed through New York City like a tidal wave.
New York’s servicemen that bravely rushed in to help victims trapped, also lost their lives,
Four hundred three firefighters and police left behind their families and wives.
They charged into the towers to help, with their lives they gambled like throwing the dice,
These courageous men and women will forever be remembered for their sacrifice.
There were two other planes that were hijacked and would meet a similar fate,
One would hit the Pentagon in Virginia, while the other in a different state.
United flight 93’s passengers discovered the terrorist’s plan to use their plane,
They wanted to crash into the White House, causing many more to be slain.
The heroic passengers united together and decided to take a stand,
They valiantly put up a fight, overran the terrorists, and foiled their evil plan.
In the morning, United 93 crashed on a bare Shanksville, Pennsylvania field,
The United passengers took away the terrorist’s weapon they were trying to wield.
Ten years later the mastermind of this tragedy was brought to justice,
He was found in Pakistan with family and more than one accomplice.
A member of Seal Team 6 shot Osama Ben Laden straight in the head,
May 2nd, 2011 the al-Qaeda leader was proclaimed dead.
Memorials now stand to honor those that perished on that cataclysmic day,
One at the United 93 crash site, one at ground zero, where they once lay.
We will never forget the fallen two thousand, nine hundred ninety-seven,
Their lives were taken from them in 2001, on September 11.
What’s important is that Americans realize freedom is never free,
There will always be evil factions trying to murder to some degree.
We must keep our ideals of our forefathers and show them we’ll never flee,
We will protect our people, our country, and our God given liberty.
